Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper addresses the interactions between the reproduction of epistemic racism and translingualism, focusing on the educational field and two specific dynamics: the reproduction of racism by different school stakeholders and the resistance of translingual students who navigate between the normative and hegemonic English language and their family's Spanish language.

It is a well-constructed and structured study, both in presenting the theoretical foundations and explaining the methodology, as well as in the discussion of the empirical data and its alignment with the theory. The subject matter and theoretical assumptions are quite innovative, at least from my perspective as a reviewer, and I must say they have been very thought-provoking for my own work.

I really can't find anything to improve or clarify.

Reviewer 2 Report

The theme of the article is linked to Trans~Resistance, how to improve Translingual Literacies as antidot to Raciolinguistic Discourses in Schools

Very important for the the future and for the discussion about ethics of work of teachers.
