Author to whom correspondence should be addressed.
The journal retracts the article “Phytoremediation of Heavy-Metals-Contaminated Soils: A Short-Term Trial Involving Two Willow Species from Gloucester WillowBank in the UK” [].
Following the article’s publication, the second named author, Dr. Ian Saunders, contacted the Minerals Editorial Office. He reported issues related to authorship, author contributions, funding, and the misuse of material entirely taken from his undergraduate thesis for the manuscript, which was submitted to the Minerals journal without his permission. Adhering to the journal’s complaints procedure, an investigation was conducted. Both named authors agree with the retraction.
The article is therefore retracted.
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the Minerals journal.
