Study of the Effect of Intestinal Microbes on Obesity: A Bibliometric Analysis
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The manuscript presents a rich overview of the articles that associate gut microbiota with obesity. A number of correlations are included, aimed to identify the nations and the groups that mostly contributed to this topic. I think that the topic is not hot and that too many details are provided, with minimal discussion of the major key points that shed light on the relationship between microbiota and obesity. Taking into account the low general interest for a so deep bibliometric analysis, I suggest to shorten the manuscript and to present it as a short note. On the other side, the manuscript can be implemented in a more scientific approach focusing on all the most relevant breakthroughs that lead to actual awareness of this association.
No relevant issues.

The study which results are contained in the article “Study of the Effect of Intestinal Microbes on Obesity: A Biblio-metric Analysis” written by Zehao Su is well designed and interesting. Using visualization techniques whithin their review, the Authors presented the systematic analysis of the current situation in this area, they showed research hotspots, and indicated trends in effects of gut microbes on obesity. The discussion of the article is accurate and it prove that intestinal microbes can possess essential application prospects in obesity therapy. The Authors found mechanisms of the effects of intestinal microbes on obesity and therapeutic methods for obesity with intestinal microbes as the leading research hotspots in this topic and underlined that regulation of the intestinal flora and fecal microbe transplantation, probiotics and appropriate diets may significantly contribute to reducing the obesity epidemic.
