Understanding the interplay between lightning activity and hydrometeor distribution is crucial for advancing knowledge of thunderstorm electrification processes. Using three-dimensional lightning mapping and dual-polarization radar observations, this study investigates the spatiotemporal correlations between low-frequency (LF) lightning sources and hydrometeors during a severe thunderstorm on 11 June 2014, in North Carolina, USA. The results reveal that lightning sources are predominantly observed above 6 km (near the −10 °C isotherm) and stabilize into a dual-peak vertical distribution as the storm progresses into its mature stage, with peaks located at 6–7 km (−10 °C to −15 °C) and 10–11 km (approximately −40 °C). Low-density graupel (LDG) and aggregates (AGs) dominate at lightning locations. Stronger updrafts lead to higher proportions of LDG and high-density graupel (HDG), and lower proportions of AG. LDG exhibits the strongest positive correlation with LF lightning sources, with a peak correlation coefficient of 0.65 at 9 km. During the vigorous development stage, HDG and hail (Ha) also show positive correlations with LF lightning sources, with peak correlation coefficients of 0.52 at 7 km and 0.42 at 8 km, respectively. As the storm reaches its mature phase, the correlation between LDG and lightning sources also displays a dual-peak vertical distribution, with peaks at 7–8 km and 13–14 km. Both the peak correlation coefficient and its corresponding height increase with the strengthening of updrafts, underscoring the critical role of updrafts in microphysical characteristics and driving electrification processes. Understanding the alterations to the shoot and root traits of rapeseed (Brassica napus) in response to salt stress is vital for improving its ability to thrive in saline-prone regions. This research aims to evaluate the responses of shoot and root traits of rapeseed at the vegetative stage under salt- and salicylic acid-induced stress in hydroponic culture. Five parents and ten F3 segregants of rapeseed were subjected to three treatments: T1: control, T2: 8 dSm−1 salt, and T3: 8 dSm−1 salt + 0.1 mM salicylic acid at 21 days of age. Salinity stress significantly reduced the estimated root surface area by 54% compared to control, highlighting the plasticity of roots under stress. The simultaneous application of salt and SA did not alleviate the salinity stress, but rather reinforced the degree of stress and decreased the number of leaves, diameter of the main axis, chlorophyll content, and estimated root surface area by 18.5%, 15.4%, 38.8%, and 23%, respectively, compared to T2. The parental genotype M-245 followed by F3 genotype M-232×M-223 accounted for the higher overall estimated root surface area. These results provide novel insights into the responses of root traits in rapeseed breeding lines under dual treatment, which hold promising implications for future rapeseed breeding efforts focused on sustainable rapeseed production. Understanding the molecular basis of endometrial receptivity is crucial for improving implantation outcomes in assisted reproduction, especially for patients with recurrent implantation failure (RIF). This study investigates the timing relationship between microRNA (miRNA) and messenger RNA (mRNA) profiles in the endometrium using simultaneously the endometrial receptivity array (ERA) and the microRNA receptivity assay (MIRA) in 100 RIF patients undergoing euploid blastocyst transfer. The concordance rate between ERA and MIRA was 72% (Kappa = 0.50), suggesting partial overlap in profiling. Patients were stratified by the timing sequence of miRNA relative to mRNA into Fast, Equal, and Slow groups. Those with delayed miRNA expression (Slow group) had significantly lower pregnancy rates (54.5%) than those with synchronous or leading miRNA expression (81.9% and 94.1%, respectively; p = 0.031). Moreover, the Slow group exhibited higher prior implantation failure counts and altered expression in 15 miRNAs, many involved in aging-related pathways. These findings highlight that asynchronous miRNA–mRNA profiles may reflect impaired receptivity and suggest that miRNA-based staging adds valuable diagnostic insight beyond mRNA profiling alone. Dual assessment of mRNA and miRNA profiles may offer additional diagnostic insight into endometrial receptivity but requires further validation before clinical application. Full article

Prolactin is a hormone with demonstrated roles in the brain, including neurogenesis, neuroprotection, learning, stress response or memory consolidation. To determine the prolactin expression in the rat hippocampus during aging and to resolve some controversies related to the presence of prolactin in the hippocampus, the aim of this study was to analyze whether changes occur in the expression of prolactin during different stages of life. To determine this, we designed an experimental study in which we analyzed the expression and location of prolactin in the rat hippocampus, Ammon’s horn and Dentate Gyrus, during different stages of life (prepubertal, postpubertal, young adult, adult and old) and checked if there are differences related to sex. Overall, the results obtained show that prolactin is present in the rat hippocampus and that prolactin is synthesized, as deduced from the findings obtained via ELISA, immunohistochemistry, qPCR and in situ hybridization. After analyzing the correlation between serum and hippocampal prolactin levels and comparing the amounts of Prl mRNA and the hormone, the results obtained suggest that hippocampal prolactin has a dual origin: local synthesis of the hormone and its passage from the blood. On the other hand, the amounts of prolactin and its mRNA in the hippocampus vary with sex and age, suggesting the existence of age-related sexual dimorphism. The results obtained suggest that hippocampal aging is related to a decrease in the hippocampal prolactin system, which helps to better understand brain aging. Full article

Hepatitis E virus (HEV) poses a significant public health concern, particularly among immunocompromised populations. This study aimed to investigate HEV seroprevalence, clinical characteristics, and associated risk factors in people living with HIV (PLWH) in Shanghai, China. A retrospective analysis was conducted on serum IgG and IgM antibodies specific to HEV in 670 PLWH and 464 HIV-negative health-check attendees. The overall anti-HEV seropositivity rate among PLWH was 30.15% (202/670, 95% CI 26.68–33.62), with an IgG positivity rate of 30.00% (201/670, 95% CI 26.53–33.47). IgM positivity was observed in 1.19% (8/670, 95% CI 0.59–2.39) of PLWH, and dual IgM/IgG positivity was observed in 1.04% (7/670, 95% CI 0.50–2.16) of PLWH. The seropositivity rate of anti-HEV IgG in the HIV-negative health-check attendees was 17.67% (82/464, 95% confidence interval: 14.20–21.14), with no IgM positivity, which was significantly lower than that in PLWH (χ2 = 22.84, p < 0.001). Univariate and multivariate analyses identified advanced World Health Organization (WHO) HIV stage (III/IV) as an independent risk factor for HEV co-infection (p < 0.05). Notably, no significant associations were observed with age, gender, CD4 count, or liver function parameters. These findings underscore the importance of implementing HEV screening protocols and developing targeted preventive strategies for PLWH. Full article

Sex-specific differences in the prevalence of sarcopenia, dynapenia, and the impact of obesity on muscle strength and quality in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) remain underexplored. Background/Objectives: In this cross-sectional study, 78 adults with stage 5 CKD undergoing thrice-weekly maintenance hemodialysis in Brazil (44 men, 34 women; mean ± SD age = 57.55 ± 4.06 years) were assessed. Anthropometry (BMI, waist circumference, waist-to-height ratio), dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry, circulating IL-6, Timed Up and Go, handgrip strength (Jamar ® dynamometer), and muscle quality index (MQI = handgrip/BMI) were obtained. Dynapenia (handgrip < 27 kg men and < 16 kg women) and sarcopenia (1.0 kg/kg for men and 0.56 kg/kg for women) were classified using EWGSOP2-2018 and FNIH thresholds. Results: Compared with reference values, men showed markedly reduced muscle strength and muscle quality (men: handgrip 21.3 ± 5.1 kg; MQI 0.80 ± 0.23 AU) than women. Also, men were 5.1 times more likely to present with dynapenia (88.6%; 95% CI 2.28–11.60) and 3.15 times more likely to present with sarcopenia (75.0%; 95% CI 1.88–5.30) than women. Waist circumference, waist-to-height ratio, BMI, and body fat % correlated inversely with MQI in both sexes (p ≤ 0.01) and with handgrip strength in men (p ≤ 0.01) but not in women. Conclusions: Among hemodialysis patients, men exhibit a substantially higher burden of dynapenia and sarcopenia than women and excess adiposity is independently associated with poorer muscle quality in both sexes. These findings highlight the need for sex-specific screening cut-offs and integrated strategies targeting both muscle dysfunction and central obesity in CKD management. Full article

TGFB2 Expression and Methylation Predict Overall Survival in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Patients

Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) exhibits dual roles in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), acting as a tumor suppressor in early stages and a tumor promoter in later disease. Among the three isoforms, TGFB2 is particularly associated with poor prognosis and aggressive phenotypes. This study evaluated the prognostic significance of TGFB2 mRNA and methylation levels in PDAC, with an emphasis on age-dependent effects. Bioinformatic analyses revealed that high TGFB2 expression was significantly associated with reduced overall survival (OS) in patients under 65 (TGFB2 high vs. low median OS: 17.9 vs. 66.9 months) but not in older cohorts. IL6 expression, a downstream target of TGF-β, followed a similar survival profile. Moreover, elevated TGFB2 methylation showed improved survival in younger patients (high methylation vs. low methylation median OS: 66.9 vs. 17.9 months). In addition, our clinical data from a PDAC trial using OT-101, an antisense oligonucleotide targeting TGFB2, further supported these findings—young patients treated with OT-101 showed improved OS compared to untreated controls. Notably, the methylation of TGFB1 also correlated with better OS in young patients. These results demonstrate the importance of TGFB2 as both a prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target in younger PDAC patients and further suggest that epigenetic modulation plays a key role in TGF-β signaling in pancreatic cancer progression. Our study emphasizes the isoform- and age-specific prognostic significance of TGFB2 in PDAC and supports the potential insights provided through methylation and expression profiling for personalized treatment strategies, particularly for younger patients who may benefit most from TGFB2-targeted therapies. Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a rare bone dysplasia that occurs with a frequency of 1/15,000–20,000 live births. It is characterized by increased susceptibility of bone fractures, skeletal deformities, low stature, and low bone mass. It results in impaired production of type I collagen. About 90% of people with OI have heterozygous mutations in the COL1A1 and COL1A2 genes. Fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) is a protein involved in the regulation of phosphate and 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 metabolism on a negative feedback basis. FGF23 is secreted by osteocytes in response to increased serum calcitriol and phosphorus. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the concentration of FGF23 among children with osteogenesis imperfecta and the differences in reference values in a healthy population of children and adolescents. Then, this study sought to evaluate how the course of osteogenesis imperfecta, including type of disease, number of bone fractures, and bone mineral density, are related to FGF23 concentration. The study included 47 children aged 3 to 17 years with a diagnosis of osteogenesis imperfecta, confirmed by genetic tests. The patients were hospitalized at the Department from August 2019 to September 2020 and were treated with intravenous infusions of sodium pamidronate. The course of the disease was analyzed, including the number of bone fractures, clinical symptoms, and anthropometric parameters, and bone densitometry was performed by dual X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) in Total Body Less Head (TBLH) and Spine options with Z-score evaluation. FGF23 concentration was determined by the ELISA method. The study was prospective in nature. Results: The mean level of FGF23 in the study group of patients was 645.09 pg/mL and was within the reference values for the developmental age population. There was no significant correlation between FGF23 concentration and anthropometric measurements: body weight (p = 0.267), height (p = 0.429), gender (p = 0.291), or pubertal stage (p = 0.223) in the study group of patients. FGF23 levels were not related to the number of fractures (p = 0.749), the number of sodium pamidronate cycles administered (p = 0.580), bone mineral density parameters (Z-score), the form of osteogenesis imperfecta (p = 0.156), or the genetic test result (p = 0.573). FGF23 levels decrease with age (r = −0.32, p = 0.030) and BMI (r = −0.34, p = 0.020). The level of FGF23 in patients with osteogenesis imperfecta is lower among older children and those having a higher BMI. This index cannot be a diagnostic tool in this group of patients, for no differences were found between the concentrations in patients with osteogenesis imperfecta and the developmental age population. Degenerative joint disease remains a leading cause of global disability, with early diagnosis posing a significant clinical challenge due to its gradual onset and symptom overlap with other musculoskeletal disorders. This review focuses on emerging diagnostic strategies by synthesizing evidence specifically from studies that integrate biochemical biomarkers, advanced imaging techniques, and machine learning models relevant to osteoarthritis. We evaluate the diagnostic utility of cartilage degradation markers (e.g., CTX-II, COMP), inflammatory cytokines (e.g., IL-1β, TNF-α), and synovial fluid microRNA profiles, and how they correlate with quantitative imaging readouts from T2-mapping MRI, ultrasound elastography, and dual-energy CT. Furthermore, we highlight recent developments in radiomics and AI-driven image interpretation to assess joint space narrowing, osteophyte formation, and subchondral bone changes with high fidelity. The integration of these datasets using multimodal learning approaches offers novel diagnostic phenotypes that stratify patients by disease stage and risk of progression. Finally, we explore the implementation of these tools in point-of-care diagnostics, including portable imaging devices and rapid biomarker assays, particularly in aging and underserved populations. By presenting a unified diagnostic pipeline, this article advances the future of early detection and personalized monitoring in joint degeneration. Full article

The Correlations of the Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio and Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratio with Bone Mineral Density in Postmenopausal Women: A Cross-Sectional Study

Background/Objectives: Osteoporosis is a skeletal disorder characterized by reduced bone mineral density (BMD) and increased fracture risk. Chronic inflammation is implicated in osteoporosis pathogenesis, with inflammatory mediators promoting bone resorption. The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) are markers of systemic inflammation and have emerged as potential indicators of bone health. This study’s aim was to highlight the potential role of the NLR and PLR as markers of bone health in postmenopausal women affected by osteoporosis or osteopenia and to evaluate the possible influence of autoimmune disease in this context. Methods: This cross-sectional study included 124 postmenopausal women diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis at the Orthopedic Unit of the Policlinico G. Rodolico in Catania, Italy. Demographic, clinical, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging data were collected. The NLR and PLR were calculated from complete blood counts, and BMD was measured using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA). Statistical analyses included correlations, group comparisons, and multiple and logistic regressions. Results: The NLR and PLR did not directly correlate with BMD or fracture incidence. However, the PLR weakly correlated with vitamin D levels. Notably, women without Hashimoto’s thyroiditis exhibited higher NLR values than those with the condition. Hypertensive women had a lower PLR than non-hypertensive women, while euthyroid women had a higher PLR than hyperthyroid or hypothyroid women. Multiple regression analysis revealed that age, BMI, CKD stage, vitamin D levels, NLR, PLR, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases significantly predicted BMD at the femur neck, with the PLR contributing significantly. Logistic regression confirmed these predictors for osteoporosis or osteopenia, with an increased PLR being associated with a higher likelihood of osteoporosis. Conclusions: While the NLR and PLR may not independently predict bone health, their inclusion in a multifactorial assessment considering age, BMI, vitamin D, and comorbidities could enhance osteoporosis management. Neighborhood Disadvantage, Built Environment, and Breast Cancer Outcomes: Disparities in Tumor Aggressiveness and Survival

Background: Breast cancer disparities persist globally, with growing evidence implicating neighborhood and built environmental factors in disease outcomes. Methods: This study investigates the associations between neighborhood disadvantage, environmental exposures, and breast tumor characteristics and survival among 3041 stage I–III breast cancer patients treated at the University of Virginia Comprehensive Cancer Center (2014–2024). Neighborhood disadvantage was assessed via the Area Deprivation Index (ADI), while environmental exposures included PM2.5, green space (NDVI), and food indices (modified retail food environment index (mRFEI), retail food activity index (RFAI)). Multivariable regression and Cox models adjusted for demographic, socioeconomic, and clinical covariates were employed. Results: A higher ADI score was associated with aggressive tumor characteristics, including advanced stage (Odds Ratio (OR) = 1.06, 95% Confidence Interval (CI):1.01–1.11), poor differentiation (OR = 1.07, 1.01–1.15), ER-negative status (OR = 1.06, 1.01–1.12), and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) (OR = 1.08, 1.02–1.16), as well as younger diagnosis age (β = −0.22, −0.36 to −0.09). PM2.5 exposure was correlated with advanced tumor stage (OR = 1.24, 1.09–1.40 for stage III) but paradoxically predicted improved survival (Hazard Ratio (HR) = 0.71, 0.63–0.82). The food environment indices showed subtype-specific survival benefits: higher mRFEI and RFAI scores were linked to reduced mortality in ER-negative (HR = 0.45, 0.23–0.85 and HR = 0.61, 0.38–0.97) and TNBC (HR = 0.40, 0.18–0.90 and HR = 0.48, 0.26–0.87) patients. NDVI scores exhibited no significant associations. Conclusion: Our findings underscore the dual role of neighborhood disadvantage and the built environmental in breast cancer outcomes. While neighborhood disadvantage and PM2.5 exposure elevate tumor aggressiveness, survival disparities may be mediated by other factors. Improved food environments may enhance survival in aggressive subtypes, highlighting the need for integrated interventions addressing socioeconomic inequities, environmental risks, and nutritional support needs. Resveratrol’s Pro-Apoptotic Effects in Cancer Are Mediated Through the Interaction and Oligomerization of the Mitochondrial VDAC1

Resveratrol is a naturally occurring phenolic compound found in various foods such as red wine, chocolate, peanuts, and blueberries. Both in-vitro and in-vivo studies have shown that it has a broad spectrum of pharmacological effects such as providing cellular protection and promoting longevity. These effects include antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and anti-viral properties, as well as improvements in cardio-metabolic health and anti-aging benefits. Additionally, resveratrol has demonstrated the ability to induce cell death and inhibit tumor growth across different types and stages of cancer. However, the dual effects of resveratrol—acting to support cell survival in some contexts, while inducing cell death in others—is still not fully understood. In this study, we identify a novel target for resveratrol: the voltage-dependent anion channel 1 (VDAC1), a multi-functional outer mitochondrial membrane protein that plays a key role in regulating both cell survival and death. Our findings show that resveratrol increased VDAC1 expression levels and promoted its oligomerization, leading to apoptotic cell death. Additionally, resveratrol elevated intracellular Ca2+ levels and enhanced the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Resveratrol also induced the detachment of hexokinase I from VDAC1, a key enzyme in metabolism, and regulating apoptosis. When VDAC1 expression was silenced using specific siRNA, resveratrol-induced cell death was significantly reduced, indicating that VDAC1 is essential for its pro-apoptotic effects. Additionally, both resveratrol and its analog, trans-2,3,5,4′-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-glucoside (TSG), directly interacted with purified VDAC1, as revealed by microscale thermophoresis, with similar binding affinities. However, unlike resveratrol, TSG did not induce VDAC1 overexpression or apoptosis. These results demonstrate that resveratrol-induced apoptosis is linked to increased VDAC1 expression and its oligomerization. This positions resveratrol not only as a protective agent, but also as a pro-apoptotic compound. Consequently, resveratrol offers a promising therapeutic approach for cancer, with potentially fewer side effects compared to conventional treatments, due to its natural origins in plants and food products. Background/Objectives: Black and Afro-Latinx communities have a higher propensity for more-severe glaucoma at a younger age. This study aimed to use the Kahook Dual Blade (KDB) to treat all glaucoma subtypes and severity levels in this historically underserved community. Materials and Methods: This study involved a retrospective analysis of surgical case records, with follow-up through 20 months. The subjects were glaucoma patients at Hospital Elias Santana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Inclusion criteria were age >18 years and a minimum follow-up of 1 year after surgery. All glaucoma subtypes and disease severities were included, including previous glaucoma procedures. Sequential patients undergoing KDB goniotomy alone or in combination with phacoemulsification cataract surgery were assessed. IOP data and number of medications were collected at specific time points: baseline, postoperative day 1, postoperative week 1, and postoperative months 1, 3, 6, 12, 16, and 20. Surgical outcome was determined using IOP and number of medications. Success was defined as either a 20% or more reduction in IOP or a decrease in at least one topical therapy. Recorded postoperative complications were hyphema, ocular hypertension, and need for additional glaucoma surgery. Results: A total of 90 eyes from 90 patients were included. A total of 100% of the patient population was Black or Afro-Latinx. The most common glaucoma subtype was primary open-angle (76.7%). Most of the eyes had severe glaucoma (53.3%). The mean preoperative baseline IOP was 20.5 mmHg. The mean postoperative IOP from all time points ranged from 12.9 to 13.5 mmHg (all time points were significantly lower than baseline IOP, p < 0.0001). A mean reduction in IOP percent of at least 31.5% was seen at every time point. There was a mean reduction of two medications by postoperative month 20. Surgical success was achieved in 95.6% of patients at postoperative month 1 and remained high throughout the study period (95.4% at month 20). Conclusions: KDB goniotomy achieved successful IOP and medication reduction across all levels of glaucoma severity. Surgical success rates were maintained to 20 months. While MIGS has historically been used as an intervention in mild-to-moderate glaucoma, our study results show that the KDB can play a significant role in all stages of glaucoma, including severe. MIGS should be considered as a favorable intervention in all disease severities in Black and Afro-Latinx communities around the world. Full article

Remote sensing can efficiently acquire information and is widely used in many areas. Object detection is a key component in most applications. But complex backgrounds in remote sensing images severely degrade detection performance. Current methods fail to effectively suppress background interference while maintaining fast detection speeds. This paper proposes Attention-Guided Yolo (AG-Yolo), an efficient oriented object detection (OOD) method tailored for remote sensing. AG-Yolo incorporates an additional rotation parameter into the head of Yolo-v10 and extends its dual label assignment strategy to maintain high efficiency in OOD. An attention branch is further introduced to generate attention maps from shallow input features, guiding feature aggregation to focus on foreground objects and suppress complex background interference. Additionally, derived from the background complexity, a three-stage curriculum learning strategy is designed to train the model from some much easier samples generated from the labeled data. This approach can give the model a better starting point, improving its ability to handle complicated datasets and increasing detection precision. On the DOTA-v1.0 and DOTA-v1.5 datasets, compared with other advanced methods, our algorithm reduces the processing latency from 33.8 ms to 19.7 ms (a roughly 40% decrease) and produces a certain degree of improvement in the mAP metric. The growing interest in Cannabis sativa as a highly used crop is present worldwide. There are limited data about the effect of potassium (K) fertilizer on industrial hemp yield for dual purposes (seed and stem production). The current study aimed to investigate the influence of adding two different K fertilizers, KCl and K2SO4, at two growth stages (flowering and ripening) on the productivity and chlorophyll a fluorescence (ChlF) of Cannabis sativa, variety Finola. Before sowing, different K treatments were applied: K1—100 kg ha−1 KCl (60% K) and K2—100 kg ha−1 K2SO4 (52% K, S 17%). The OJIP (O stands for “origin” (minimal fluorescence), P for “peak” (maximum fluorescence), and J and I for inflection points between the O and P levels) data were recorded and used for ChlF transients and individual ChlF parameters during vegetation. At harvest, the stem morphology parameters and yield (plant height, stem weight and diameter, and stem and seed yield), tensile strength, and the modulus of elasticity were determined. The results show the sensitivity of minimal (F0) and maximal fluorescence (Fm), electron transport from QA to intersystem electron acceptors (ET0/(TR0 − ET0)), and electron transport flux until PSI acceptors (RE0/RC) to K fertilization. The parameters that described electron transport (ET0/RC, ψE0, and φE0), performance index on absorption basis (PIABS, TR0/DI0, and φP0), dissipation (DI0/RC), and electron transport to photosystem I (φR0 and δR0/(1 − δR0)) had a reaction only at the growth stage, indicating a change in their activity during the aging of the Cannabis sativa plants. The average stem height was 67.5 cm, and the stem diameter was 0.41 cm. The different K sources did not significantly influence the stem height and diameter, nor the dry stem (on average 12.2 t ha−1) and seed yield (on average 1.85 t ha−1). The tensile strength of individual hemp stems was the highest with K2SO4 (53.32 MPa) and the lowest with KCl (49.25 MPa). The stem stiffness by modulus of elasticity was about 5 GPa on average for all the treatments. In general, the photosynthetic parameters in this study varied more between the growth stages than between the different K fertilizer formulations. Moreover, based on the results of this study, it can be recommended to use both fertilizers, KCl and K2SO4, in dual-purpose industrial hemp production since no significant effect was found for the stem morphometric and biomechanical parameters as well as for the agronomic parameters.
