Journal of Developmental Biology | Selected Papers Published in 2024 Related to Model Organisms
To highlight recent advances in developmental biology research using model organisms, the Journal of Developmental Biology (JDB, ISSN: 2221-3759) is pleased to present a selection of papers published in 2024 that exemplify the breadth and depth of this field. The studies featured here employ a range of vertebrate and invertebrate model systems—including those of zebrafish, mice, rats and Xenopus laevis—to address fundamental questions related to gene regulation, tissue development, cell signaling, regeneration, and organogenesis. Together, these contributions underscore the essential role of model organisms in uncovering conserved and species-specific mechanisms that shape developmental processes and inform human healthcare and the treatment of disease.
