MDPI Open Science Insights: Online Academic Publishing Workshop at the Silesian University of Technology, 9 December 2025
In collaboration with the Silesian University of Technology, MDPI Poland is hosting an Academic Publishing Workshop designed to educate attendees on MDPI’s paper publication process and the ecosystem surrounding open access publishing. The session will cover an introduction to MDPI journals as a collective, delving into the editorial process to provide valuable insights and instilling essential skills for structuring papers and replying to reviewers effectively. Additionally, participants will be instructed on methods to improve their scientific writing, with our expert speakers leading the way to ensure a thorough understanding of how attendees can improve their publishing potential.

Ms. Aleksandra Krakowka holds a master’s degree in materials engineering from the Czestochowa University of Technology in Poland. Ms. Krakowka joined MDPI as an Assistant Editor in December 2020 and later became a Special Issue Editor in May 2021 and Editorial Core member of the Materials journal (conducting paper check and quality check) in September 2021. Aleksandra has served as a Training Assistant in the Krakow Office for over 4 years now and as a Journal Relations Specialist for journal Materials since March 2025. Besides editorial work, she has helped with tutoring new members and represented Materials at meetings with EBMs in Krakow and at conferences. |
