Journal of Mind and Medical Sciences (ISSN 2392-7674) is an international, peer reviewed, and open access journal which provides an advanced academic forum for papers related to the mind or body in health and disease. It publishes reviews, original research, case reports, and editorials, but other article types will also be considered. In addition, JMMS publishes Special Issues on particular topics of interest.

The journal encourages interdisciplinary perspectives that integrate basic, clinical, and translational research on the human mind or medical topics. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced, and computed data or files regarding the full details of the experimental procedure can be deposited as supplementary material. The journal has no restriction on the maximum length of the papers

The Journal of Mind and Medical Sciences’ mission is to provoke, encourage, and sustain publishing of original scientific articles on the topics of mental and medical health and disease that stimulate constructive debate among scientists, health professionals, researchers, and clinicians with respect to the latest discoveries and trends in the field.

The Journal of Mind and Medical Sciences accepts Reviews, Research articles, Case presentations, Editorials, Letters to the Editor, and other specific articles (educational articles, commentary on the social, political and economic factors affecting health). We are open to and encourage the submission of articles not only from medical professionals and psychologists but also from scientists and practitioners in other fields from anywhere in the world and from any institution.

• Cardiovascular diseases (ischemic heart disease, hypertension, arrhythmias, heart failure, and vascular disorders, with focus on psychosocial and stress-related mechanisms);

• Gastrointestinal diseases (functional and organic disorders, gut–brain axis, microbiome–mind interactions);
