Journal of Clinical Medicine | 2025 Academic Editorial Board Meeting at the EADV Congress 2025 Held on 17 September 2025

10 November 2025

The Academic Editorial Board Meeting of  Journal of Clinical Medicine (JCM, ISSN: 2077-0383) was held at the EADV Congress 2025 on 17 September. We sincerely appreciate the academic communication platform provided by the EADV Congress 2025. We were able to meet with Editorial Board Members at our booth and also successfully welcomed three members to our academic meeting, despite their busy schedules. We cordially invite you to join us in reviewing the highlights of this event.

We engaged in productive interactions with 11 Editorial Board Members at our booth, receiving extensive positive feedback while meticulously documenting and addressing each question raised. Our consistent commitment to delivering high-quality publishing services has gained broad recognition among Board Members, most of whom explicitly support the open access model. Our distinct advantages were widely acknowledged to be our short publication cycles and the prompt responsiveness of our editorial team. Additionally, the Editorial Board Members expressed support for our initiative to participate in this booth exchange, which further strengthened their trust in us.

Notably, the Editorial Board Members showed keen interest in the awards we have established. Some Members also proactively suggested deeper collaboration with the journal through organizing seminars at universities and conducting author training sessions. We expressed our willingness to actively pursue these opportunities. We look forward to establishing multifaceted collaborations with relevant scholars, institutions, and affiliated associations. This will not only help elevate the journal's visibility and influence but also better serve the medical community, advancing the dissemination and development of knowledge within the field of clinical medicine. We are pleased to share some photos of interactions with scholars at the booth.

Secondly, during our Academic Editorial Board meeting, we presented a multi-dimensional overview of the journal, covering the following aspects: an introduction to the journal, our performance data, some of our highly cited papers, an overview of hot research topics, and the country distribution of our authors and Editorial Board Members, as well as marketing activities, Special Issue Collections, and social media account information.

The following key highlights were covered in the meeting:

First, members provided feasible suggestions on the word count, type, and APC for manuscripts. Second, proposals were made to strengthen full-process oversight in Special Issue operations while refining thematic planning and promotion strategies to enhance the quality and appeal of Special Issues. Third, emphasis was placed on rigorously vetting reviewer qualifications during peer review and improving reviewer incentive mechanisms to ensure review efficiency and quality. Additionally, regarding journal promotion, the importance of social media promotion was underscored, with a suggestion to introduce diverse interview-based content to enrich promotional formats.
