Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We invite researchers, academics, and practitioners to contribute their insights and recent findings to our Special Issue focused on "Slope Stability Analyses and Landslide Risk Assessment under Hydrodynamic Action, 2nd Edition".

This Special Issue aims to record a diverse range of studies that address the complexities of slope stability and landslide risk using various new approaches, such as analytical and numerical models, remote sensing technologies, machine learning algorithms, artificial intelligence, geospatial data analysis, etc. Particular attention will be given to investigations of hydrodynamic actions, including rainfall infiltration, groundwater flow, reservoir water level fluctuations, river and coastal processes, wave actions on slopes, pore pressure variations and seepage effects, and their influence on slope deformation, failure mechanisms, and landslide susceptibility.

We also welcome detailed analyses and lessons learned from specific case studies of landslides, water erosion, and sediment transport for their monitoring, prewarning, prevention, and mitigation. Studies that improve the understanding, modeling, and prediction of hydrodynamic processes and their role in triggering or accelerating slope instability are especially encouraged.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Water is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
