Section Information

Urban Environment and Sustainability is a critical field that focuses on the complex relationship between urban development and the natural environment. It is dedicated to exploring how cities can grow and thrive while minimizing their ecological footprint and ensuring the well-being of current and future generations.

In the current era, with the acceleration of urbanization, cities are facing a series of environmental challenges, such as air and water pollution, waste management issues, and the loss of green spaces. The key research emphasis now lies in finding ways to balance economic development with environmental protection, and promoting the efficient use of resources.

This section of the journal mainly focuses on topics including urban ecosystem research, urban pollution prevention and control, green building design, and sustainable resource management. We welcome submissions from various related fields, such as environmental science, urban ecology, and sustainable architecture.
