Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Emerging pollutants, including industrial chemicals, personal care products, microplastics, and pharmaceuticals, are increasingly detected in environmental media and human bodies, yet their long-term exposure profiles and health impacts remain inadequately characterized. This Special Issue aims to gather cutting-edge research on human exposure pathways, occurrences in the human body, bioaccumulation patterns, and toxicological outcomes associated with these contaminants. We welcome the submission of studies that employ advanced monitoring techniques, exposure modeling, biomonitoring, and mechanistic toxicology to elucidate dose–response relationships, susceptible populations, and cumulative health risks. Contributions may also explore interactions between emerging pollutants and existing environmental stressors. By synthesizing current evidence, this Issue seeks to support evidence-based risk assessment and public health strategies.
We invite researchers to submit original articles, reviews, and short communications that advance understanding in this critical field.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Toxics is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
