Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The current level of quality knowledge development motivates the large-scale use of quality management systems and concepts in order to improve the key processes of business management and sustainable supply chains management. Quality management in the supply chain is inextricably linked to: searching for a compromise satisfying both individual links co-creating the supply chain, customers as well as external stakeholders, the ability to adapt to the constantly changing market conditions, and effective use of innovative solutions to improve and integrate basic areas of supply chain management. The efforts of supply chain and quality management improve each other’s performance and the integration between the two functions may be beneficial for an organization in many ways. The effect of these activities will be the increase of effectiveness and reliability of processes implemented within the supply chain. Environmental management standards, in turn, are a good complement to quality management systems, and on their basis you can develop an integrated supply chain management system focused on quality improvement and implementation of pro-ecological activities, facilitating the same processes of monitoring and improving the concept of sustainable development in the supply chain.

Considering the above, this Special Issue looks for outstanding research and development results, case studies, and review papers in topics that include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM);
  • Standardized management systems;
  • Supply Chain Quality Management (SCQM);
  • The Impact of Supply Chain Quality Management Practices on Sustainability Performance;
  • The Impact of Supply Chain Quality Integration on Green Supply Chain Management;
  • The impact of Quality Management Practices on Sustainable Product Development.

Thank you for your contributions.
