Dear Colleagues,
Sustainable industrial engineering plays a crucial role in addressing global challenges such as resource depletion, pollution, and climate change. Within this field, industrial management, quality management and quality control systems are essential to ensure efficient, consistent, and environmentally responsible industrial and service processes. Furthermore, embedding sustainability into industrial and quality practices supports long-term value creation and minimizes environmental impact.
This Special Issue will focus on advancing sustainability in industrial engineering through innovative manufacturing, quality management and process control approaches. It encourages interdisciplinary research that promotes eco-efficiency, lifecycle thinking, and responsible production by integrating sustainability principles into industrial management, quality management and quality control systems.
We welcome high-quality original research articles. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Sustainable quality process control and monitoring systems;
- Sustainable quality engineering and environmental performance;
- Sustainable supplier quality management;
- Green quality control systems and indicators;
- Quality assurance in product-service systems;
- Eco-design and design for quality in green products;

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Sustainability is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
