Corporate Social Responsibility and Tourism Sustainability
This special issue belongs to the section “Tourism, Culture, and Heritage“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue is designed to highlight contemporary research on corporate social responsibility (CSR) in tourism. A CSR philosophy enables individuals, organizations, and places to gain various advantages and promote their sustainable development. CSR is the subject of growing attention from tourism firms, governments and regulators, stakeholder groups, and the media. This Special Issue explores the inter-disciplinary research in tourism management, psychology and social-cultural geography, and published theoretical and empirical research that contributes to our understanding of the challenges, antecedents, impacts, and benefits of CSR in tourism.
The Special Issue will provide an opportunity for contributors to publish their research in the broad field of CSR in tourism, and the relationship between CSR and sustainability. This Special Issue not only focuses on the CSR of tourism firms and organizations but also highlights destination social responsibility. In addition, we encourage CSR research that explores the diverse impacts of CSR in tourism, including employees, customers, organizations, communities and places. The insights gained will be useful for students, practitioners, as well as policymakers. This Special Issue particularly welcomes submissions including “the COVID-19 pandemic and CSR in tourism”, “mixed-method in tourism CSR research”, “destination social responsibility”,”tourism CSR and resilience “and “tourism CSR and sustainability“.
