Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Plastic and aesthetic surgery continues to evolve rapidly, driven by technological advances, refined surgical techniques, and an ever-growing emphasis on patient-centred outcomes. This Special Issue will bring together state-of-the-art research highlighting both clinical and scientific progress across the field. Topics of interest include reconstructive strategies, advances in microsurgery, innovations in breast and facial surgery, body contouring, regenerative medicine, and novel applications of technology such as artificial intelligence and computer-assisted planning.
We also welcome contributions addressing perioperative care, complication management, and long-term outcome assessment, as well as review articles synthesising current evidence and outlining future directions. By encompassing both reconstructive and aesthetic domains, this Special Issue aims to showcase the breadth of modern practice and the integration of innovation into everyday surgical care.
Our goal is to provide an international platform for surgeons and researchers to share expertise, stimulate academic discussion, and shape the next generation of developments in plastic and aesthetic surgery.
