Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Recent advances in wearable devices, contactless sensors, artificial intelligence and embedded computing are creating new opportunities for intelligent human–machine interaction and continuous health monitoring. However, signals acquired in real-world environments are often affected by motion artifacts, environmental interference, physiological variability, missing data and differences among sensing modalities. Addressing these challenges requires advanced signal-processing methods capable of extracting reliable, interpretable and clinically meaningful information from complex multimodal data.

This Special Issue focuses on emerging theories, algorithms, systems and applications related to advanced signal processing and multimodal sensing for human-centered technologies. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, multimodal sensor fusion, physiological signal analysis, wearable and contactless sensing, radar- and vision-based monitoring, biomedical image and signal processing, machine learning and deep learning, artifact suppression, feature extraction, human activity and intention recognition, affective computing, rehabilitation systems, assistive technologies and intelligent healthcare.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Sensors is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
