10th Anniversary

The year 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Safety, a peer-reviewed open access journal on industrial and human health safety. With an Impact Factor of 1.8 and a CiteScore of 3.2, the journal is covered in Scopus, ESCI (Web of Science), SafetyLit, and other databases. The journal has published more than 626 papers. We equally value the contributions made by our editors, authors, and reviewers.

In honor of the journal’s 10th anniversary, we are reflecting on our past accomplishments and embarking on an exciting new chapter. We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and to explore the content we have prepared for you below.

Journal History


The inaugural issue was released. Safety was published as a quarterly journal.



Prof. Dr. Raphael Grzebieta was appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the Safety.

The first issue/paper of the Safety was published on December 2015.

Safety was indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).



Safety was indexed in Scopus—Elsevier.



Safety received its first CiteScore (2019) of 1.4.



Safety received its first Impact Factor of 1.9.



The year 2025 marked the 10th anniversary of the Safety.
