Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that a new Special Issue is being launched in Plants: “Pest Management and Crop Production Under the Norm of Resistance Regulation”. This issue covers research on crop production or on pest management with the concept of resistance regulation. Here, pests refer to all organisms and viruses that negatively affect crop plants in agriculture and forestry. Human beings have struggled against pests in crop production in their history, as if they had traced ways of arms race: once a new pest management was established, pests with resistance would emerge sooner or later. Then, a new measure is required. In other words, human beings have always faced the challenges of the resistance development in the pests. In this regard, the resistance regulation should be the key to attaining successful management of the pests in crop production. To understand our history of agricultural development, address current situations in pest management, and find out the right direction toward future strategy for sustainable crop production, this Special Issue welcomes reviews, original research articles, or short communications that are related to any topics on pest management and crop production from land preparation to food consumption. The editorial office is confident that this issue will certainly contribute to founding more robust pest management and synergistically stimulate the construction of sustainable crop production systems for future food safety and security.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Plants is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
