Dear Colleagues,
Over the last few years, significant progress has been made in drug delivery systems to facilitate the targeted distribution of naturally derived active components, chemically derived therapeutic agents, and chemotherapeutic drugs to treat many degenerative diseases, including cancer and diabetes mellitus. Several delivery methods have been effectively utilized for targeted drug delivery mechanisms. However, many challenges must be addressed before use in clinical applications. Advanced technology must be developed to successfully deliver drugs to their target sites. Therefore, ongoing research on nano-based drug delivery systems aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of drug delivery mechanisms.
Within the theme “Do Nanocarriers Enhance Targeted Drug Delivery Mechanisms?", we invite your contributions across a spectrum of topics:
- Novel nanocarrier designs and their applications.
- Polymer- and lipid-based nanocarriers.
