Young Investigator Award
Dear Colleagues,
It is our pleasure to announce the winners of the Nanomaterials 2021 Young Investigator Award, who are Andres Castellanos-Gomez, Takuya Isono, and Panbo Liu. Dr. Andres Castellanos-Gomez will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000. Both Dr. Takuya Isono and Dr. Panbo Liu will receive an honorarium of CHF 800. Each of the winners will receive an offer to publish a paper, free of charge, in Nanomaterials before 31 December 2022, following peer review, as well as an engraved plaque.
Dr. Andres Castellanos-Gomez is a Senior Tenured Scientist of Instituto de Ciencia de los Materiales de Madrid (Madrid, Spain). His research interests include two-dimensional materials, nanomechanics, strain engineering, optoelectronics, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), transition metal dichalcogenides, and black phosphorus. Dr. Andres Castellanos-Gomez received his Ph.D. in 2011 and has an outstanding publication record, comprising 166 publications in peer-reviewed international journals. Dr. Andres Castellanos-Gomez’s Scopus Scientific Citations number is 14,911, and his Hirsch index is 55.
Dr. Takuya Isono is an Associate Professor of Faculty of Engineering (Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan). His research interests include precise polymer synthesis and developing novel block copolymer-based nanomaterials for a variety of applications. Dr. Takuya Isono received his Ph.D. in 2014 and has an outstanding publication record, comprising 90 publications in peer-reviewed international journals. Dr. Takuya Isono’s Scopus Scientific Citations number is 1461, and his Hirsch index is 20.
Dr. Panbo Liu is an Associate Professor of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China). His research interests include structural design, synthesis and applications on carbonbased composites and derived carbon composites for microwave absorption, as well as electrochemistry. Dr. Panbo Liu received his Ph.D. in 2015 and has an outstanding publication record, comprising 107 publications in peer-reviewed international journals. Dr. Panbo Liu’s Scopus Scientific Citations number is 5999, and his Hirsch index is 42.
