Young Investigator Award

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Micromachines 2023 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Yuzhi Shi.
Dr. Yuzhi Shi is a professor at the Institute of Precision Optical Engineering, School of Physics Science and Engineering, Tongji University, China. Dr. Yuzhi Shi’s research interest focuses on the development of optofluidic chips for the manipulation of nanoparticles and biomolecules. Dr. Yuzhi Shi received his PhD in 2018 and has an outstanding publication record with more than 60 publications in top journals such as Science Advances, Physical Review Letters and Nature Communications. Dr. Yuzhi Shi’s Scopus Scientific Citations number is 1745 and his H-index is 20. He is clearly a rising star in the field of optofluidics and optical tweezers. As a single applicant, Dr. Yuzhi Shi has secured funding of more than RMB 15 million in research grants since he joined Tongji University in 2022. This is an outstanding achievement in today’s competitive environment. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Yuzhi Shi on his outstanding achievements.
As the awardee, Dr. Yuzhi Shi will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before 2024 in Micromachines after peer-review, and an electronic certificate.
