Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue, "Spine Trauma and Emergency Management," addresses the critical challenges and advancements in the acute care of spinal injuries. Spinal trauma remains a devastating event, often resulting in significant morbidity and mortality, and its management requires a highly coordinated, multidisciplinary approach from the moment of injury through emergency stabilization and definitive treatment.

This Special Issue aims to bring together a collection of high-impact articles, including original research and comprehensive reviews that highlight the latest evidence-based practices. Topics of interest include pre-hospital care protocols, innovations in diagnostic imaging, evolving concepts in surgical intervention such as minimally invasive techniques, and the management of complications like spinal shock and secondary neurological injury. We also welcome submissions on the unique challenges of treating spinal trauma in specific populations, including pediatric and geriatric patients, and the role of emerging technologies in improving patient outcomes. By consolidating current knowledge and fostering new research, this Special Issue will serve as an essential resource for clinicians and researchers dedicated to advancing the standard of care for patients with traumatic spinal injuries.
