Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Perinatal medicine is undergoing rapid changes due to demographic and environmental changes, the increasing prevalence of comorbidities in mothers, and technological advances in prenatal diagnosis and fetal therapy. Despite significant technological advances worldwide, global disparities in maternal and neonatal outcomes remain a major challenge in perinatology today.

In this issue, we want to draw attention to the emerging challenges associated with the care of high-risk pregnancies. We will address, among other things, metabolic, hormonal, cardiovascular, and environmental factors. We will promote evidence-based strategies to improve maternal and fetal outcomes.

We emphasize topics that focus on, but are not limited to, innovations in precision diagnostics (genomics, metabolomics), data-driven risk prediction, and multidisciplinary family-centered care that combines obstetrics, neonatology, mental health, and palliative support.

We invite authors to submit original research, clinical trials, and systematic reviews on new diagnostic tools, preventive strategies, therapeutic interventions, and systemic approaches in modern perinatal care.
