MATERIAIS 2019, XIX Congresso da Sociedade Portuguesa de Materiais and X International Symposium on Materials, will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 14 – 17 April 2019.
MATERIAIS 2019, will explore the latest scientific and technical developments in Material Science and Engineering, and related areas, bridging different knowledge domains under the scope of the main thematic “Materials for a Better Life”. The International Symposium will cover all materials areas, namely Functional Materials, Structural Materials and Materials Processing, Characterization and Modelling. A school will be organized dedicated to Materials for Flexible Electronics and Sensing and, for the first time, a Special Session on Cultural Heritage will take place.
MATERIAIS 2019 will be hosted by the Rectorate of the NOVA University of Lisbon at “Campus de Campolide”. Lisbon is mainland Europe’s westernmost capital city and the only one along the Atlantic coast, in a country that has an important part of its history connected with the maritime discoveries. A global city due to its importance in finance, international trade, entertainment, arts, education and tourism, it is also one of the oldest cities in Western Europe.
