The Special Issue of "Lubrication Dynamics and Cavitation in Engine Systems" in Lubricants is focusing on compiling a comprehensive collection of the most recent, cutting-edge developments and innovations in the field of lubrication dynamics and engine tribology.
Both review articles and original research that provide theoretical explorations, ground-breaking experimental research, and inventive computational approaches are within our focus in this Special Issue. We also encourage novel applications that help in expanding today’s knowledge of this field.
We will be focusing on lubricant flow, film formation, various measuring and visualization techniques, interaction with surfaces under various conditions, experimental data and modelling results, which contribute significantly to the description of the various phenomena occurring during the lubrication process and provide an insight of the rheological phenomena occurring at the lubricating interface. Both classical fluid dynamics (like Reynolds equation) and advanced molecular dynamics simulations that capture molecular-level behavior, influencing friction, wear, and lubricating system performance, can be part of this issue.
We look forward to receiving submissions from both academia and industrial partners. Your contribution will be acknowledged by the scientific community, as this will be a compelling chance to reinforce your scholarly influence.

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Lubricants is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
