Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The COVID-19 pandemic profoundly impacted the healthcare system, particularly regarding the need for an adequate number of intensive care units and physicians, and determining how surgery activities can be guaranteed when pandemic events arise. This Special Issue aims to report innovations in Anesthesia Intensive Care after the COVID-19 pandemic. Anesthesia intensive care is continuously evolving, and modern technologies have enhanced the quality, efficiency, precision, and safety of the procedures. In this context, machine learning tools and deep learning could play exciting roles, offering further advances in the field. All these aspects underline how anesthesia and intensive care must continue to evolve. Modern instruments, such as simulation labs or devices, could help resident students in their learning path and aid in their autonomy. What is the future for this discipline?
