Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Precision medicine has transformed healthcare, offering tailored approaches to disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment based on individual variability. Its application in obstetrics and gynecology holds tremendous promises for addressing unique patient needs in reproductive health, maternal care, and gynecological disorders.

Rooted in advances in genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics, precision medicine represents a paradigm shift from one-size-fits-all strategies to personalized care. In obstetrics and gynecology, it leverages genetic and environmental in-sights to optimize outcomes for mothers and infants while addressing complex gynecological conditions. Precision medicine gained momentum in the early 21st century with the Human Genome Project, providing tools to predict and prevent conditions like preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and ovarian cancer.

This special issue aims to explore breakthroughs in precision medicine that enhance clinical decision-making, reduce healthcare disparities, and improve outcomes in obstetrics and gynecology. We highlight emerging topics such as pre-natal genomic screening, targeted therapies for endometriosis and gynecologic malignancies, and the role of artificial intelligence in predictive modeling and decision support. We invite original research and reviews etc. focusing on precision diagnostics, personalized treatment approaches, biomarker discovery, and innovative technologies in ob-stetrics and gynecology. Papers addressing challenges and ethical considerations in implementing precision medicine are also welcome.

We look forward to your contributions to this dynamic and impactful field.
