Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue is related to The 2nd International Online Conference on Marine Science and Engineering (IOCMSE 2026), which will be held online on 23–25 November 2026 (https://sciforum.net/event/IOCMSE2026).
Marine science and engineering are essential for understanding ocean processes, protecting marine ecosystems, developing sustainable marine resources, and addressing challenges associated with coastal and offshore environments. Rapid advances in marine technologies, environmental monitoring, numerical modeling, and ocean observation systems continue to expand our ability to explore and manage the marine domain. At the same time, increasing pressures from climate change, marine pollution, and growing demands for ocean resources call for innovative scientific and engineering solutions.
This Special Issue aims to present recent advances and emerging developments in marine science and engineering and to provide a platform for researchers to share original findings, innovative methodologies, and practical applications. The main topics of the conference include
- Ocean Engineering;
- Coastal Engineering;
- Geological Oceanography;
- Marine Biology and Aquaculture;
- Marine Environmental Science and Pollution;
- Physical Oceanography.
Conference participants, as well as researchers working in these fields, are invited to contribute original research papers or reviews to this Special Issue of the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering. Contributions addressing interdisciplinary approaches, novel technologies, theoretical developments, and practical applications related to marine and coastal systems are particularly welcome.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Journal of Marine Science and Engineering is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
