Dear Colleagues,
Driven by the marine development strategy and booming offshore renewable energy construction, complex seabed geological conditions and extreme marine dynamic loads bring unprecedented technical challenges to coastal and marine geotechnical infrastructure, forming a prominent research background demanding systematic theoretical and engineering breakthroughs. The 5th International Joint Conference on Civil and Marine Engineering (JCCME 2026) will be hosted at Dalian University of Technology in November 2026, gathering hundreds of global scholars to exchange innovative findings covering marine geotechnics, offshore foundations, subsea pipelines and intelligent ocean engineering.
JCCME has held five successive sessions across Dalian, Qingdao and Jeju Island, building a stable long-term communication platform for civil and marine engineering researchers worldwide. This Special Issue aims to collect high-quality works originating from JCCME 2026 together with independent original studies, covering hot cutting-edge research directions including large-deformation numerical simulation of marine sediments, cyclic dynamic performance of offshore wind bucket and monopile foundations, particle breakage of coral calcareous sand, AI-enabled marine geohazard early warning and digital twin monitoring of subsea structures. We welcome original experimental, numerical and field research articles, comprehensive review papers and concise technical communications.
Thus, we sincerely invite all relevant researchers to submit their distinguished contributions to this Special Issue. All your contributions are welcome and will be highly appreciated.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Journal of Marine Science and Engineering is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
