Dear Colleagues,
Spine surgery and, consequently, spinal instrumentations and techniques have undergone continuous advancements over recent years. As instrumentation has advanced, increasingly high levels of accuracy in device placement have become essential. In recent years, remarkable progress has been made in the application of technology to spine surgery.
This Special Issue “Clinical Advances in Adult Deformities and Spinal Disorders: Surgical Treatment and Pre- and Post-Operative Re-Habilitation” aims to explore how the management of spinal deformities and spinal diseases in general has changed over time.
It seeks to identify new perspectives to transition from a physician-based assessments to a patient-centered perceptions of improvement.
Special attention will be also given to new pre-habilitation protocols, especially in major surgeries such as deformity surgery, as well as to post-operative rehabilitation, which is essential for the maximizing surgical outcomes. The central theme of this volume will be the advancements of treatments for spine pathologies of different etiologies, with a particular interest in the development and clinical application of new technologies to enhance standards of care, reduce complications, and improve outcomes.
The Special Issue welcomes reviews and original articles. Other article types of particular relevance may also be considered.
