Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The spine plays an essential role in human posture, mobility, and neuromuscular control. Spinal disorders, ranging from degenerative and traumatic conditions to deformities and pain syndromes, represent one of the leading causes of disability worldwide and contribute significantly to the global burden on healthcare systems. Accurate diagnosis, timely interventions, and evidence-based rehabilitation are therefore fundamental to preventing the progression of disability and preserving functional independence.
Recent scientific advancements have led to major improvements in diagnostic imaging, quantitative motion analysis, neuromuscular assessment, and multidisciplinary care pathways. At the same time, novel therapeutic strategies—including minimally invasive techniques, personalized rehabilitation programs, and innovative technologies for functional recovery—are rapidly reshaping the clinical approach to spinal care.
This Special Topic aims to provide an updated and comprehensive overview of emerging evidence and best practices in spinal diagnosis and management. Particular emphasis will be placed on the integration of clinical expertise and research findings, the refinement of conservative and rehabilitative interventions, and the translation of neuroscientific knowledge into more effective treatment strategies tailored to patient-specific needs.
