Journal of Clinical Medicine | 2025 Academic Editorial Board Meeting at the EASD 2025 Held on 16 September 2025

13 November 2025

The Journal of Clinical Medicine (JCM, ISSN: 2077-0383) held its Academic Editorial Board meeting at the EASD 2025 on 16 September 2025 in Vienna, Austria. Six Editorial Board Members attended. As a premier event for staying abreast of the latest advancements in diabetes research and practice, EASD 2025 provided an ideal platform for this engagement. During the conference, we met our Section Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Didac Mauricio, and other scholars with whom we have cooperated for many years. We look forward to reconnecting with you at future international conferences to explore opportunities for deeper collaboration. We invite you to revisit the wonderful highlights of this event.

At our booth, we received positive feedback from scholars, who expressed satisfaction with their collaboration with us and a willingness to continue working with us. We are pleased to share some photos taken with scholars at our booth.

At the Academic Editorial Board meeting, we provided a brief overview of JCM’s basic information and played a journal-produced promotional video. This video highlighted JCM’s scope, academic achievements, and role in the academic publishing landscape. The following key highlights were discussed in the meeting: (1) To increase the Impact Factor of the journal, Members suggested revising the scope of the journal and its Sections and conducting an analysis of the Impact Factor “per Section”. (2) New proposals and suggestions for peer review models were discussed. (3) Members felt we should share the metrics of the journal’s rejection rate and the evolution of objective metrics that are proof of quality (indexing in major databases, IFs, CiteScore values, and the outreach of publications). (4) It was suggested that we should advertise the awards we are granting to researchers. (5) Numerous suggestions were proposed regarding external collaborations, such as partnering with major institutions, exploring conference sponsorships and collaborations with academic societies, and deepening cooperation with young scholars. (6) Views were exchanged on the use of AI tools in research, and we shared some information about MDPI's initiatives in this area. (7) Members expressed interest in our proposal to “assist them in organizing their events,” and we will explore possibilities for expanding our collaboration model in the future.
