Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Nowadays, fluorescent metal nanoclusters are one of the most prominent nanostructures due to their several advantages. These ultra-small nano-objects are composed of only a few or a few tens of atoms, which results in a well-defined molecular structure with discrete electronic transitions. Depending on the surface ligand and the number of core atoms, they have unique optoelectrical and surface features; therefore, they are promising materials for several fields of science. For the preparation, a lot of methods can be found, from top-down to bottom-up techniques, and even electro- or wet-chemical synthetic routes.
In this Special Issue of Inorganics, we wish to summarize the various articles on the “nanocluster” topic. Descriptions of the preparation with detailed characterization, as well as the theoretical calculations, are invited. Contributions focusing on uses in catalytic, electric, or bio-labeling or -sensing are welcomed. Moreover, novel comprehensive review articles would also be gladly accepted in related fields.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Inorganics is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
