Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased invite you to submit a manuscript for consideration and possible publication in a Special Issue on “Plant-Based Early Therapeutics for Parasitic Infections Combined with Functional Modern Diagnosis Methods”, to be published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijms, EISSN:1422-0067, IF 4.9), a reputable, open access journal by MDPI. If accepted, your manuscript will be published as a feature paper and given the highest priority for processing and peer review.

We will give priority to original research papers and comprehensive reviews. The topics of this Special Issue include, but are not limited to, recent advances in the following areas:

  • Medicinal and functional plants containing bioactive molecules utilized for benefit in parasitic disease of human and animal health.
  • Life cycles of parasites can be further divided into two categories: direct (monoxenous) and indirect (heteroxenous). Designing methods or techniques for functionally and efficiently detecting different parasite-infected stages for advanced improvement in hosts and environments is important. These methods and techniques include artificial intelligence analytic systems and vision recognition for changes in parasites and vectors under medicinal and functional plant treatments. Of course, other functional modern diagnosis methods are also acceptable.
  • Antimicrobial and antiparasitic drugs for preventive feed additive were banned by many countries and international unions. Therefore, efficacious therapeutic strategies or methods, especially on linkage between early diagnosis and therapy, are urgently needed. It meant that manuscripts worked on these early diagnosis and therapy for antiparasitic medicinal and functional plants administration are acceptable.
  • Modern physical examination methods, equipment utilization and monitors on parasite-infected animals and patients can prevent labor exhaustion and establish environmental hygiene in ranches and hospitals. Investigations targeting the precise delivery antiparasitic medicinal plant products and above-mentioned modern diagnostic methods are sought.
  • Finally, exact antiparasitic drug withdrawal control is very important to host health and welfare and environmental health. Functional detections and analytic methods on the therapeutic efficiency of anti-parasitic plants are also welcome.

We hope you find this topic of interest and choose to publish your work in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences. If you could inform us regarding your decision within a week or so, it would greatly help the management of the Special Issue.

We would also appreciate it if you forwarded this to your team members and colleagues who may also be interested in the topic.

Thank you for your consideration and please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. International Journal of Molecular Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. There is an Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal. For details about the APC please see here. Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
