Patient-Derived iPSC Models in Chronic Disease Research

Dear Colleagues,

Patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) have revolutionized disease modeling by enabling the generation of human cell types that retain the genetic background of individual patients. These systems provide powerful platforms to investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying chronic diseases in physiologically relevant contexts. Recent advances in stem cell differentiation, genome editing technologies, and multi-omics approaches have expanded the capacity of iPSC-based models to study complex disease processes at the molecular level.

This Special Issue aims to highlight recent advances in the development and application of patient-derived iPSC models to investigate chronic disease mechanisms. We welcome original research articles and reviews describing innovative iPSC-based platforms, organoid models, and integrative approaches that provide new molecular insights into cardiovascular, metabolic, neurodegenerative, and other chronic disorders.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
