Medicinal Plant Resources—from Molecular Studies to Sustainable Use

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a forthcoming Special Issue of the International Journal of Molecular Sciences devoted to the valorization of promising natural sources of bioactive molecules, introduction selection, sustainable cultivation of medicinal plants, genetic improvement of medicinal plants, chemical diversity of medicinal plants, biodiversity of medicinal plants, molecular techniques in plant taxonomy, and protection and conservation of medicinal plant genetic resources.

The goal of this Special Issue is to integrate the recent research trends in the field of medicinal plants on a broad scale of theoretical and practical aspects from the molecular level to conservation issues. We invite you to submit a manuscript focused on any of the above topics. Although specific case studies with broad implications are welcome, we encourage authors to submit large-scale and/or multi-species studies, syntheses, and reviews. Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. International Journal of Molecular Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
