Advances in Pollutant Exposure and Health Effects

This special issue belongs to the section “Environmental Health“.

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

With the rapid development of industrialization, urbanization, and economy, various pollutants, including organics, heavy metals, and biohazards, were released to the environment from the complicated sources of anthropogenic sources as well as natural sources. Therefore, the environment transmission, respiratory exposure, and disease infection caused by the various pollutants have increasingly became hotly contested issues. Many emerging and conventional pollutants have worsened the  environmnetal quality due to their widespread exposure and the additive health impacts on the overall population. However, all these mechanisms are only beginning to unravel.

Today, we are pleased to invite you to contribute a manuscript to this Special Issue “Advances in Pollutant Exposure and Health Effects” in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH).

Contributors are welcomed to submit reviews and original research articles, including but not limited to the following topics:

  • Various pollutant studies under different expsoure conditions;
  • The emission of typical pollutants and source identification;
  • Health outcomes and risks assessment of typical pollutants;
  • Health outcomes of co-exposures of emerging and conventional pollutants.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
