Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Workplaces are key settings for health promotion and injury prevention, with the potential to influence the well-being of diverse populations. As work environments continue to evolve—through remote and hybrid models, automation, and demographic shifts—so too must the strategies for protecting and promoting worker health and safety. This Special Issue of IJERPH aims to bring together cutting-edge research, evaluations, and practice-based insights that advance our understanding of effective interventions, policies, and systems approaches to occupational health and safety.
We welcome high-quality original contributions, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs), quasi-experimental studies, reviews, implementation evaluations, and mixed-methods research that examine interventions aimed at improving worker health, safety, and well-being. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, mental health promotion, occupational injury prevention, organizational safety culture, participatory design approaches, and policy or regulatory innovations. We welcome interdisciplinary contributions that explore the social, physical, and organizational determinants of workplace health and safety. Submissions may address a range of topics, including mental health promotion, ergonomics, injury prevention, workplace equity, participatory design, and regulatory or policy innovations. We particularly encourage submissions focused on underrepresented, diverse, or high-risk worker groups and studies that consider equity, sustainability, and systems-level change.
We look forward to your submissions that support the creation of healthier, safer, and more inclusive workplaces.
