Dear Colleagues,
I am organizing a Special Issue on “Trace Elements in Nutrition: A Health Perspective for Future Direction in Human Nutrition” in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH). This peer-reviewed, scientific journal publishes research articles and communications in the interdisciplinary area of environmental health sciences and public health. It is essential to reconnect food and agriculture. This Special Issue will feature new research that advances our understanding of trace elements in human nutrition. It will also focus on nutrition healthy propriety of innovative food products from sustainable agriculture to support a nutritious diet form farm to fork as well as innovative diet. There is a need for more sustainable foods that contribute to a lower environmental impact in their production. Biodiversity, diet, and health move the field forward. The issue is open to original research, review articles, short reports, brief commentaries, methodological papers, and meta-analyses related to the impact of trace elements in nutrition. The listed keywords suggest a few of the many possible subject areas.
