Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The healthcare sector is characterized by unique occupational demands, including high emotional strain, irregular shifts, and constant exposure to critical health situations. These psychosocial risk factors have a profound impact on the psychological well-being and professional performance of healthcare professionals, frequently leading to conditions such as burnout, anxiety, depression, and moral dilemmas. This Special Issue aims to gather cutting-edge research—with a strong emphasis on robust quantitative methodologies—to explore the complex relationship between work organization and mental health outcomes in clinical settings.
We invite original research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses addressing the epidemiology of psychosocial risk factors, mental health, and effective health promotion programs. We particularly encourage studies focusing on interventions for the prevention of occupational diseases and health promotion among physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Studies exploring cross-sectional, longitudinal, and multicenter cohort data are very welcome. By integrating diverse perspectives on occupational health, this volume seeks to provide evidence-based insights that can guide public health policies and organizational strategies aimed at protecting and supporting those who care for others.
