Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Forest wood resources are one of the most important resources on Earth and the foundation of biodiversity. They not only provide a variety of precious timber and raw materials for production and daily life, but also supply numerous goods for human economic activities. Forests can regenerate, making them renewable natural resources and an intangible environmental asset as well as a potential "green energy" source. In addition, forestry also mainly refers to the industry based on forest resources, involving wood-based materials protection, wood-based materials reconstruction, wood-based materials tending, processing, and utilization. With the rapid development of the social economy and the continuous improvement of human living standards, the demand for forestry products is also increasing. In addition to developing a low-carbon economy emerging in response to global climate change, the sustainable development of forestry is particularly important. A considerable number of basic theoretical exploration and key technological innovation achievements have been published in forest wood product processing.

This Special Issue, entitled "Sustainable Development and High-Value Utilization of Forestry Wood Resources" seeks high-quality research, exchange, and review papers related to sustainable development and utilization of forest wood resources, but other papers related to forestry are also welcome.
