Dear Colleagues,
The global energy landscape is undergoing a profound transformation driven by rapid technological innovation, policy reforms, and the urgent need to address climate change. This Special Issue on “Innovation and Future Trends in the Global Energy Economics” invites high-quality research and review papers that explore emerging developments shaping the future of global energy systems. We welcome contributions that address the economic, technological, and policy dimensions of the energy transition—including renewable energy integration, digitalization, energy market reforms, carbon neutrality strategies, sustainable investment, and energy security. The aim is to provide a multidisciplinary platform for scholars and practitioners to share novel insights, methodologies, and case studies that can guide future decision-making in the era of decarbonization and innovation-driven growth.This Special Issue on “Innovation and Future Trends in the Global Energy Economics” invites you to submit papers on, but not limited to, the following topics of interest:
- Innovation and digital transformation in global energy systems;
- Renewable energy economics and investment strategies;

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Energies is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
