On behalf of the Evaluation Committee, we are pleased to announce the winner of the 2020 Diagnostics Travel Awards, Dr. Irina Yanina and Dr. Isha Sharma, who will be supported with 800 Swiss Francs towards their travel expenses to attend an international conference.
Dr. Irina Yanina is a postdoctoral researcher from Saratov State University, Saratov, Russia. Her research focuses on the influence of the coating of fluorescent upconversion nanoparticles by the shell on their toxicity. She will present her work at the The XIX International Symposium on Luminescence Spectrometry and 21st International Symposium on Bioluminescence and Chemiluminescence, which will be held in 2022 in Gijón, Spain.
Dr. Isha Sharma is a Research Associate from 303 East Superior Street, Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM), Department of Pathology, Chicago, IL, USA. Her research focuses on a Myo-inositol-fortified diet rescue kidney against diabetic nephropathy. She will present her work at the American Society of Nephrology 2021, which will be held on November 2–7, 2021, in San Diego, CA, USA.
