16–20 June 2024, Beijing, China
The 51st Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE) International Conference on Plasma Science (ICOPS) and the 4th Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma and Terahertz Science (APCOPTS)

The 51st IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science (ICOPS) will be held in Beijing, China, in 2024. ICOPS is an annual conference coordinated by the Plasma Science and Application Committee (PSAC) of the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society (NPSS).

The 1st Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma and Terahertz Science (APCOPTS) was organized in Xi'an, China as the future Asian version of ICOPS in 2018, which had a large component on emerging terahertz science. ICOPS 2024 is organized together with the 4th APCOPTS. The programs of the 51st ICOPS and 4th APCOPTS cover both traditional areas of plasma and terahertz science and new exploratory research areas. The conference offers an outstanding forum for scientists and engineers to learn further about some of the greatest advances in plasma science and technology, terahertz science, and new exploratory research areas in recent years and to discuss future directions of research.

The topics for the conference include the following:

  • Basic processes in fully and partially ionized plasmas;
  • Microwave generation and plasma interactions;
  • Charged particle beams and sources;
  • High-energy-density plasmas and applications;
  • Industrial, commercial, and medical plasma applications;
  • Plasma diagnostics;
  • Pulsed power and other plasma applications;
  • Terahertz sources, radiation, and applications.
