Biosafety and Biotoxicity of Nanomaterials

Dear Colleagues,

We are happy to announce an exciting opportunity for scholars and experts of nanotechnology to contribute their research findings to our special issue on "Biosafety and Biotoxicity of Nanomaterials". The issue aims to focus on the critical aspects of interaction of nanomaterials with biological systems and their potential implications on human health and the environment. Increasing use of nanomaterials in various sectors like cosmetics, food packaging, clothing and bio-medical arena are raising concerns regarding their safety, and impact on living organisms. Therefore, understanding the biosafety and biotoxicity of nanomaterials is of paramount importance for sustainable development. The special issue invites original research articles, reviews, and perspectives covering a wide range of topics, including but not limited to: Evaluation of the toxicity mechanisms of nanomaterialso; Assessments of the potential health risks upon exposure to nanomaterials; Development of novel methodologies for evaluating toxicity of nanomaterial; Exploration the interactions of nanomaterials with biological systems; Studies on biodegradation, bioaccumulation and fate of nanomaterials, etc. We welcome you to submit the research article and review paper to the Special Issue to help develop this fields.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Current Issues in Molecular Biology is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
