Dear Colleagues,
We are proud to announce our Special Issue on “Pediatric, Orthopedic, and Trauma Surgery”.
Pediatric injuries, due to the growing skeleton of the patient, have the risk to severely impact lifestyle and mobility despite an extremely favorable healing potential. Further, trauma still represents the number one cause of death among children. Due to their altered physiology and anatomy, children are not to be treated like adults. This applies to polytrauma care and fractures of the growing skeleton but also to the treatment of intraarticular (such as knee and shoulder) pathologies and posttraumatic deformities. Further, the epidemiology and characteristics of pediatric injuries often vary with the appearance of trend sports among children and adolescents. These are various important factors that make further investigations of pediatric injuries necessary.
Last but not least, the COVID-19 pandemic has created new challenges in the treatment and management of pediatric injuries, and the possible effects must be investigated.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Children is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
