Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Building integrated energy systems are increasingly central to the global transition toward low-carbon and sustainable developments because building sectors account for about 40% of the total global energy usage. Realizing green power supply, reducing carbon emissions in building areas and improving the comprehensive energy efficiency of energy systems through renewable energy supply systems and high-efficiency equipments have become vital measures for the deep decarbonization of building energy consumption. This Special Issue presents recent research on the design, control, optimization, and performance evaluation of building integrated energy systems involving energy supply, storage, and consumption, to develop resilient and sustainable low- and zero-carbon building integrated energy systems.
This Special Issue, “Low-Carbon Building Integrated Energy Systems: Design, Control, Optimization, and Performance Evaluation” in Buildings welcomes excellent original contributions and high-impact works, with the goal of building energy conservation, building energy efficiency improvements, and carbon reduction.
