Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In recent years, especially due to the current pandemic, there has been an upsurge in the diagnosis of mental health disorders and disabilities. Psychosocial interventions are a part of integrative care models which are targeted intervention strategies that focus on enhancing and advocating all dimensions of well-being and wellness. Such an interdisciplinary approach is highly beneficial for management and disease progression in people with chronic conditions and disabilities.

This Special Issue of Brain Sciences aims to present current innovations in this field of psychosocial research. Authors are invited to submit pioneering research and reviews that address a broad range of topics including the following: motivational interviewing, group counselling, social and emotional learning, evidence-based interventions, comorbidities, new technological advancements, exercise and physical activity, cognitive and behavioral enhancements, adjustments and lifestyle changes, and neuroscientific research, not limited to, but providing evidence of intervention effects on structural or functional changes in the brain. In essence, we aim to present advancements that may have significant clinical relevance and impact.
