8–9 October 2011, Amherst, Massachusetts, United States
The Ninth Annual Symposium in Plant Biology

The Plant Biology Graduate Program at University of Massachusetts Amherst and the Center for Plant Integrative Biology (CPIB), University of Nottingham, UK is pleased to present a two day symposium on the theme of "Auxin and Expansion". The first day, Saturday, will feature a program of five internationally recognized speakers, as well as a poster session for attendees. The second day, Sunday, will be a series of shorter presentations (four in the AM, four in the PM) in a workshop format. Both symposium and workshop speakers have been selected based on expertise in either auxin biology or the biomechanics of cell expansion.

Attendees must register in advance and may attend both days or for either Saturday or Sunday individually. The event is free of charge, including lunch on both days and a reception with the speakers on Saturday, after the poster session. We strongly encourage undergraduate, graduate students, postdocs and faculty from any institution to attend and present posters. Register online no later than Friday, September 23, 2011.
