Applied Bioinformatics & Public Health Microbiology 2013

This Wellcome Trust Scientific Conference will provide a multidisciplinary forum to consider how public health can benefit from the recent advances in bioinformatics, microbiology, virology and genomics. This event will be of interest to public health clinicians, microbiologists, virologists, epidemiologists, and bioinformatics researchers. The conference will focus on how new sequencing technologies can be used to understand the emergence, diagnosis, spread and treatment of disease. Specific topics for discussion include microbial pathogenesis, virulence, diversity, host-pathogen interactions and the bioinformatics challenges of using sequencing (and other) data.
